Print sizes and quality
Most photographs are available in four sizes, and every one in two layouts. The price depends only on the size.
Some photographs, mostly made with a phone camera, are offered only in A4 and A3+ (or A4 alone), the sizes that suit those particular files. The sizes on offer are listed on each product page.
| Size | Paper (outside size) | Image area with white border | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| A4 | 21 × 29.7 cm | 19 × 27.7 cm | €59 |
| A3+ | 32.9 × 48.3 cm | 30.9 × 46.3 cm | €89 |
| 40 × 60 cm | 40 × 60 cm | 38 × 58 cm | €119 |
| 60 × 90 cm | 60 × 90 cm | 58 × 88 cm | €179 |
Prices include VAT for delivery addresses in the European Union. For the United States and Canada the same price is charged without Portuguese VAT; local import taxes may apply on arrival. Delivery is a single flat charge per order, shown in the basket before you pay.
Two layouts
Full bleed (edge-to-edge) — the photograph fills the whole sheet.
White border — the photograph sits inside a white border of exactly 1 cm on all four edges. The border is inside the size you choose, so the sheet is the same size in both layouts and the photograph itself is slightly smaller.
Neither layout includes a frame, mount or hanging hardware: all prints are supplied unframed.
Cropping and proportions
Most of my photographs have a 3:2 shape, which matches the 40 × 60 cm and 60 × 90 cm sizes exactly. A4 and A3+ sheets are a slightly different shape, so a thin strip is trimmed from the sides or the top of the photograph to fit. The image is never stretched, distorted or extended. The preview on each product page shows the exact crop and border for the size and layout you choose.
Resolution
A photograph is only offered at a size its original file can support. Every print is produced from the full-resolution original, never from an enlarged or AI-upscaled copy. Images that could not hold enough detail at 60 × 90 cm are not in the shop.
Paper and printing
Prints are made to order by a professional photographic laboratory in Portugal.
Colour
Screens vary in brightness and colour, so a print can look slightly different from what you see on your device. Our previews are colour-managed from the original files.
