Black & white

Without colour, aviation becomes a matter of line, tone and weather. A superjumbo rolls beneath a towering sky, an engine’s spinner spirals into its fan, a widebody rests against the grid of a glass terminal, and a pilot works the overhead panel in the minutes before pushback. Every picture here was edited in monochrome from the start; they sit naturally together on a gallery wall and suit interiors in stone, wood and steel.
