Shamrock at night
Seen from behind on a dark apron, this Aer Lingus Airbus is reduced to a few strong elements: the shamrock on the tail lit softly green, the dark rear fuselage catching a highlight, and the engines low on either side.
Behind the aircraft, the apron lights flare into a warm haze, and a streak of light crosses the black sky in the upper left. The low viewpoint and deep shadows give the scene a quiet, nocturnal drama, very much in keeping with the rest of the After dark collection.
A moody print for anyone with Irish connections or a love of night photography. Offered in A4 and A3+, the sizes the original file supports in full detail; the photographer's signature appears at the bottom of the image.
