The photograph
Lime and white
airBaltic's lime green is one of the most recognisable colours in European aviation, and this close, low view of an Airbus A220-300 shows it at its best. The engine nacelle and tailfin glow against the white fuselage, with the airline's name in bold dark letters above the wing.
The type designation "Airbus A220-300" is printed beneath the cockpit, and the nose-gear door carries the aircraft's registration letters. Behind, a band of golden, sun-dried grass gives the picture a warm, summery backdrop, while the dark taxiway anchors the bottom of the frame.
The A220 is a relatively recent airliner design, and its large engines are very visible in this low view. The strong sunlight brings out the texture of the dry grass, which echoes the warm tones in the airline's lime green.
Clean, fresh and modern, a cheerful print for kitchens, offices and family spaces.
